Role: UX/UI Design Intern

Internship Description:

Possible tasks and projects include:

  • Prepare high-fidelity design mock-ups based on the given requirements of the features (duration 1-3 months)
  • Overall design evaluation of the webpages and carry our necessary changes within
  • Preparing customer journey maps

Internship Description:

Emergency Preparedness Research Intern

This NGO is a worldwide network of patient groups with a full or partial focus on providing support to patients with lymphoma, was formed in 2002 and incorporated as a not for profit organisation in 2010.

The need for a central hub of consistent as well as reliable current information was recognised as well as the need for lymphoma patient organisations to share resources, best practices, and policies and procedures. With this in mind, four lymphoma organisations started this NGO. Today, there are over 80 member organisations from over 50 countries.

This NGO’s current strategy is focused on ensuring impact within two pillars: information and advocacy.

Role: Emergency Preparedness Research Intern

Internship Description:

  • Research emergency preparedness models in the health sector, by country, region and globally
  • Summarize key findings and categorize into key areas (for example: crisis preparation and planning,rapid response, and emergency preparedness plans) to support the continuation of lymphoma care and treatment
  • In relation to the displacement of patients with lymphoma living in and/or fleeing Ukraine:
    • Help to identify and summarize tangible examples of best practices in action (such asinnovative approaches, collaborative initiatives, critical advocacy pathways) that address unmet patient in affected countries and across settings
    • Help to identify and summarize policy, advocacy, and/or government initiatives to address theneeds of patients with lymphoma living in and/or fleeing Ukraine (from an advocacy, policy, and/or government lens)
    • Support team efforts to identify and profile practical case studies of advocacy in action to learnmore about achievements, impact, and lessons learned
    • Support team efforts to identify policy in action to learn more about what policies wereinstrumental in real-time, what gaps are present, and what might need to change

Requirements:

  • Meticulous and knowledgeable about how to conduct research and present findings
  • Ability to clearly identify relevant data or evidence-based information based on subject matter
  • Skilled at concisely summarizing key findings without bias
  • Supportive skills to help this NGO profile real-world case studies (may involve participant interviews, email, communication, or other approaches to succinctly capture relevant information)

Internship Description:

  • Review this NGO’s report (An Update on Biosimilars in Lymphoma) to gain an understanding of thesubject matter
  • Research the sources referenced and update the information to reflect the present status, changes,and/or emerging trends to watch for
  • Identify additional sources of relevant information and/or new data that might be of interest topatients with lymphoma (with respect to biosimilars)
  • Analyze the conclusion of the 2018 report and explore what has changed in the past five years
  • Present results and/or key findings to the Membership & Alliances team at the close of the internship

Requirements:

  • Meticulous and knowledgeable about how to conduct online searches, research, and present findings
  • Ability to clearly identify relevant data or evidence-based information based on specific subject matter
  • Skilled at concisely summarizing key findings without bias
  • An understanding and/or interest in the drug regulatory approval process

Health Literacy Intern

Role: Health Literacy Intern

Internship Description:

  • As needed, support project related research needs with respect to health literacy globally
  • As needed, support project needs specific to health literacy in the region of Asia-Pacific
  • Research and summarize key stakeholders, initiatives, and/or published evidence-based studies relatedto health literacy, either globally or in the region of Asia-Pacific
  • Support literature search and reviews, either globally or in the region of Asia-Pacific
  • As needed, support scoping exercises, such as research and analysis
  • Flap key stakeholders with a focus on improving or addressing health literacy challenges
  • Present results and/or key findings to the Membership & Alliances team at the close of the internship

Requirements:

  • Ability to clearly identify relevant data or evidence-based information based on subject matter
  • Skilled at concisely summarizing key findings without bias
  • Understanding of and/or keen interest in exploring the social determinants of health, namely howinequities in relation to health literacy adversely affect patient outcomes

English Resource Intern

They empower women and youth through improving life skills, raising self-awareness, bringing new knowledge and opening opportunities and support networks. Their Education portfolio empowers disadvantaged youth to access education and increase economic opportunities. TheirModern Slavery Prevention portfolio invests comprehensively in at-risk youths to prevent trafficking and in survivors to help them build new lives.

Role: English Resource Intern

Internship Description:

The English Resource Intern will work closely with staff to strengthen the capacity of the organization through:

  1. Developing the team’s and program recipient’s English language ability
  2. Supporting in building resources for English learning
  3. Organizing and assisting English projects and clubs within different programs in the organization.

Responsibilities
1. Program and English resources for the organization

a. Contribute to the team’s program activities in the field
b. Teach practical English to staff that will be helpful in report writing and basic computer skills
c. Assist with training and implementation of organisational processes (such as review implementation of confidentiality/privacy issues)
d. Write and edit reports
e. Depending on program expertise and interest, the position also engages in providing structure for program operationsBuilding and expanding resources for various English educational programs

  1. a. Contribute and organising lesson plans for the English Tutoring Online Program (ETOP)
    b. Collect and organize resources for students (tutorial videos, different educational applications and websites for self-study, expand questions bank and study list)
    c. Helping staff in delivering orientation materials to new English tutors
  2. Leading and assisting different English projects within the organization.
    a. Facilitate Learn English Together (LET) program to support students on how to use resources to study effectively
    b. Research on topics and run activities for English Speaking Club (ESC) monthly
    c. Coaching beneficiaries with English mock interviews
    d. Research for book club models and assist in coming up with an appropriate one for the organization
    e. Support the development of Pacific Links Foundation’s online learning platform
Requirements:
▪️ Experience in video production is desirable
▪️ Technology-oriented: excellent computer skills including MSOffice; proficiency in video-editing
software and video production
▪️ Strong coordination and organizational skills
