Vietnam Industry Experience
Solve real business challenges in Vietnam
Gain valuable professional experience and intercultural skills by working on a real business challenge in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Over four weeks, you’ll collaborate in small groups, guided by industry mentors and business leaders, to tackle a project set by a Vietnamese company. This hands-on experience will allow you to address genuine challenges faced by the business, helping you develop practical solutions in a dynamic international environment.
What's Included?
Group Projects
In groups of 2-6, you’ll work collaboratively on industry projects set by local Vietnamese companies.
Throughout the programme, you’ll take part in check-point sessions, discussions and networking events alongside industry experts to guide your work. You’ll also receive ongoing support from your peers and English-speaking project mentors. At the end of the programme, you’ll present your research and an accompanying playbook of findings to your peers and companies.
Group Activities
Throughout the programme, you’ll enjoy a range of activities including field trips, cultural tours, group dinners, social events and more—all aimed at fostering teamwork, cultural understanding, and professional growth.

Support
Making sure you feel happy and supported during your time on this programme is our priority.
Our support includes:
- An online pre-departure session to give you an itinerary, packing list, important documents and travel information.
- Airport pickups, a health and safety briefing and an in-country orientation session on arrival.
- In Vietnam, you’ll be accompanied by experienced programme leaders who are fully trained in first aid.
- During your free time, you’ll have access to an emergency out-of-hours telephone number.
- You’ll receive a full briefing for all project work to ensure you know exactly what’s expected of you, and ongoing support throughout the programme.
- Group presentations will be conducted in a friendly, professional manner to provide you with experience in a real work environment.
Accommodation
All accommodation is clean, safe and managed by our trusted accommodation providers. You’ll have a private room, inclusive of all bills and wifi, located on good transport links. You’ll stay with other students on the programme.
Skills Courses

Orientations
Onboarding webinars, airport pickups, accommodation transfers, welcome packs and detailed orientations with our in-country staff.

Example Project 1: Gamifying Preschool Activities
As the world becomes increasingly digital, parents are searching for innovative ways to engage their children in educational activities that are both enjoyable and effective. This project addresses this challenge by gamifying the lessons and activities from our preschool curriculum. By transforming these educational tasks into interactive games, we aim to create a seamless and enjoyable learning experience that children can engage with outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Example Project 2: Enhancing B2B Customer Experience and Developing Training Modules
In today’s competitive business environment, providing an exceptional B2B customer experience (CX) is crucial for retaining clients and driving growth. Many companies struggle with understanding & implementing effective B2B CX strategies, leading to customer dissatisfaction and lost business opportunities. This project addresses the gap in knowledge and practice by researching best practices in B2B CX and developing a comprehensive training module.
Our online skills courses are designed to improve Employability, Digital Competency and Intercultural Fluency. They provide the skills and agility needed to thrive in an international workplace. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate to post on LinkedIn and show to future employers.
- Course 1 – Intercultural Fluency
This course provides an understanding of the importance of adaptability when communicating with people from other cultures, in the workplace and society. We focus on the foundations of intercultural understanding and develop students’ cultural fluency with examples from China, Mexico and Vietnam. Competencies: Teamwork & Collaboration / Intercultural Fluency / Communication
- Course 2 – Digital Competency
This course provides the fundamentals of digital networking, digital marketing and digital presentation skills. Students will learn to use LinkedIn for personal promotion, get to grips with the basics of Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing, and improve their public speaking skills. Competencies: Professionalism / Teamwork & Collaboration / Career Development / Digital Fluency
- Course 3 – Employability Skills
This course equips students with the tools to identify their current skill set and understand the skills needed to enhance career readiness. Self-awareness exercises will build confidence for students looking to apply their skills to different specifications when applying for jobs in the future. Competencies: Professionalism / Career Development / Leadership
- Course 4 – Workplace Basics
This course provides an understanding of the skills required to succeed in a remote workplace. We focus on key skills such as productivity, time management, communication and the use of digital platforms, and the importance of being adaptable when working in a global, professional environment. Competencies: Communication / Critical Thinking / Digital Fluency / Teamwork & Collaboration
