Pagoda Projects are excited to offer our fully supported overseas and online internship opportunities for the University of Dundee Business School Masters students over summer 2023!
Students taking part will have the option of different global locations, hundreds of specific internships across a variety of sectors, and full support from the Pagoda team for these funded programmes.
Regardless of what destination, internship and sector you choose, Pagoda will support you before, during and after the programme, source quality accommodation, assist with the required visa and be there in-country to ensure amazing summer experience!

MORE THAN JUST AN INTERNSHIP
This 8 week international internship programme can either be completed online or in-person.
Choose from 100’s of companies from an exciting range of international destinations.

NO PROGRAMME FEES TO PAY, THE COST OF THE PROGRAMME IS INCLUDED IN YOUR COURSE FEES!
Internships are offered subject to academic and non-academic eligibility criteria set both internally and externally. Passport holders from some countries may not be eligible to apply for this programme but we will work with you to offer alternatives during your time in Dundee.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Pagoda will be taking applications from students in autumn 2022, with the aim of providing confirmation and acceptances onto the programme by end of March 2023.

PRE-PLACEMENT (Semester 1)
Get to know Pagoda, the opportunities available and select the ideal programme format for you. There’s a few different aspects to consider and it’s our role at Pagoda to discuss each viable option with you in the first term of your course. Pagoda will host promotional sessions with the lovely team at Dundee so you’re able to find out more, but know a member of the Pagoda team will always be available to book in a call for more one-to-one support.

PLACEMENT PROCESS (Semester 1 & 2)
So you’ve opted for an internship programme with Pagoda, great choice! A member of the team will start the placement process with you and ask you to select the ideal roles you’re looking to apply for. Once a company is happy to consider you for their role, Pagoda will introduce you for a formal video interview. This is a great chance for you to ask the host company lots of questions and assess whether that role is the right one for you. Pagoda will endeavour to facilitate as many interviews as possible until you’ve found the perfect role.

PROGRAMME CONFIRMATION & COMMENCEMENT (Semester 3)
In-Person Programme: Pagoda will provide detailed instructions for your visa application, provide support for your flight booking and finalise your accommodation for your overseas internship. Once you’ve arrived in your host destination, our team will pick you from the airport, help you get settled into your accommodation and arrange a fun orientation within the first couple of days of your stay and before your internship starts.
Remote Programme: Start your on-boarding, training and gain access to a range of online resources and to your own personalised management account for your remote internship. Pagoda will ensure you’ve joined all the relevant groups via the Pagoda app for your programme, you’re formally introduced to your host company and have everything set up for your first day of your remote internship.

CHENGDU
Chengdu is a Chinese city known for its leisure and entertainment. The city is also famous for its Sichuan Opera and of course, the Giant Panda. On a rainy day, you may enjoy their famous spicy hot pots and traditional tea houses. Also known as the āLand of Abundanceā, Chengdu produces many local products, pleasant climate and a large number of scenic spots and historical sites.

MADRID
Known for being one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, Madrid is the heart of the country. In the city you can find a range of cultural and historical treasures such as the Royal Palace. Also known for its renaissance and contemporary art museums, sunny blue skies and unique neighbourhoods. There is an endless amount of things to do in Madrid.
LISBON
Lisbon is the stunning capital of Portugal. Blending traditional heritage with modernism, Lisbon holds a rich and varied history with a buzzing nightlife. As a safe and friendly city, it’s easy to explore with so much to see. Famed for its rattling tram lines and oozing colourful architecture. Visiting Lisbon is a win all round.
HO CHI MINH CITY
Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is the capital of Vietnam. This bustling city is the business and financial hub of Vietnam. With itās classic French architecture, sleek skyscrapers and mixture of French, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine itās no wonder why millions of tourists visit the capital each year.
MANCHESTER
Home to half a million, Manchester is best known for its football, music and its people. With itās many transport links including the worldās first inter-city passenger railway station, it has become easily accessible for those touring the city. Manchester has a colourful culture making it one of Englandās most exciting cities.

ACCOMMODATION
FURNISHED APARTMENT ACCOMMODATION (outside of the UK only)
The on-site Pagoda team in each destination sources and manages apartment accommodation for participants, in line with our accommodation quality policy.
You will always be provided your own private bedroom and any shared facilities will always be with Pagoda participants only. Female-only accommodation is available and provided at no additional cost, with all located on good transport links in secure area of the cities where Pagoda delivers programmes.

Our Student Support Outline gives a comprehensive guide to our support. 24/7 emergency support is included in every in-person programme.
Our local teams organise regular optional social, networking and travel activities for participants. This includes weekly dinners and weekend trips to fit around participants’ schedules. Our local knowledge helps students discover hidden gems and visit sites on a student budget.
ONLINE COMPONENTS
A UNIQUE WAY TO SHARE CULTURES
As part of the Remote Internship Programme interns will be partnered with a ‘Cultural Mentor’, who will help them to increase their intercultural awareness. This cultural exposure will not only assist the intern during their internship and collaborating with colleagues and external partners, but will also bridge barriers and connect students and graduates from all corners of the globe.

4 UNIQUE ONLINE COURSES
DIGITAL COMPETENCY / CULTURAL FLUENCY / EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS / WORKPLACE BASICS
Pagoda Projects have developed a series of skills courses set to encourage the development of student and recent graduateā current skillset with the fundamental elements needed to improve their āwork readinessā for a post-pandemic business world.
The skills series includes courses focusing on Intercultural Fluency, Employability and Digital Competency. We believe this framework provides the learner with the agility needed for a global and ever-changing workplace, preparing them with the knowledge to communicate effectively within an international work-group or team, tackle the job market with awareness, preparation and confidence and have a strong understanding of the importance of ādigitalā once they enter the workplace.
As qualifications remain a vital measure of achievement, a certificate is provided following each completed course
