OVERVIEW
Ho Chi Minh City is, in our humble opinion, the most exciting destination in Southeast Asia! Bursting with cafes, craft breweries, street food, markets and mopeds, the city itself is full of colour and energy. Pagoda and TupuToa are offering an exciting employability and cultural onboarding week followed by an 8-week internship in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for MÄori and Pacific youth with funding from Education New Zealand’s prestigious Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia.

1 week onboarding + 8 week internship in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam
Programme Fee:
The cost of this programme will be covered by Education New Zealand’s Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia
*Please note, a NZD $200 deposit will be requested upon booking form being signed. This is a refundable deposit to cover no-shows and/or any damage incurred to accommodation.
Dates:
+ Arrival in Vietnam: 19th November 2022
+ Onboarding Week: 21st to 27th November
+ Full-time Internships: Monday-Friday From 28th November until 20th Jan 2023
+ Depart Vietnam: 22nd Jan 2023
Throughout your time in Vietnam, youâll be supported by Pagoda Projects’ friendly and experienced on-site team. Support will include pick-up and orientation, full onboarding week, 24-hour emergency assistance, and opportunities to join a range of additional ongoing events, trips and activities with other participants on-place.
If your application is successful, you must register with https://safetravel.co.nz prior to departure. TupuToa require you to attend onboarding and induction workshops in Auckland before you leave for Vietnam.
Accommodation:
+ WIFI, Rent, bills & all management fees included

THE ITINERARY
Our onboarding week will immerse your group in the amazing Vietnamese culture, visit local attractions, take part in tours a presentations from both corporates and NGOs with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable business practices.
You will then individually join a local organisation for an 8-week internship in a field of your choice. Pagoda Projects will work with you to find a position in a host company that will give you a quality work experience relating to your interests and aspirations. REGISTER INTEREST
Register interest with TupuToa and be approved by their selection panel. Once you have been awarded the scholarship, register via the form below to provide Pagoda with your details.

CONFIRM INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT
Successful participants will be introduced to the Pagoda Projects team who will work with you to apply to the most suitable internship positions and prepare you for the programme.

PRE-DEPARTURE PREPARATIONS
Following your internship confirmation, we will help you with your pre-departure preparations. There will be predeparture calls and an online predeparture session delivered by Pagoda Projects.

+ Any Covid related costs (i.e. quarantine if required by host location or upon return to New Zealand)
