Education Internships In Thailand

FUNDED BY EDUCATION NEW ZEALAND’S PRIME MINISTER’S SCHOLARSHIP FOR ASIA

This is way more than work experience – this is life experience. Develop your skills, meet new people and take a giant step closer to your dream career with an education internship. 

Open to all eligible Pacific students and graduates, with priority given to those with an education background.

This is a 9-week education programme in Thailand, funded via Education New Zealand’s (ENZ) Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia (PMSA)

Successful applicants will complete an initial week of selected professional, cultural and educational activities in Bangkok, followed by an 8-week, full-time edcuation internship within the Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools (PCSHS) network across Thailand

Pagoda will support you before, during and after the programme, assist with the required visa and be there in-country to ensure an amazing experience! PCSHS will provide accommodation and support throughout your internship. 

Locations | Thailand; Bangkok, Chaiyaphum, Chiang Rai, Trang, Satun, Buriram, Phitsanulok, Lopburi.

Internship

The internships are full-time positions, for a duration of 8 weeks. We suggest making sure you can commit to this and understand it may be at a location chosen for you before accepting an offered position. Get in touch if you have any questions relating to the programme.

Accommodation

Accommodation in Bangkok for the first week with good transport links and inclusive of all bills and wifi. The remaining 8 weeks will be organised by PCSHS inclusive of all bills and wifi.

Airport pickup on arrival, accommodation transfers (including to your PCSHS school), welcome packs and detailed orientations to help you feel settled in your new country.

Funding

Funding for 15 places has been awarded to the Pacific Cooperation Foundation through Education New Zealand’s Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia (PMSA). Applicants must fall within Education New Zealand and programme-specific eligibility criteria and successful candidates will be selected as part of a merit-based application process (further information below).  Pacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF) and Pagoda will work with you to help clarify your eligibility and answer any questions.

Eligibility

This programme is open to Pacific students and graduates of 18 years or older who are New Zealand nationals or permanent residents. There is no upper age limit. You must also fulfil Education New Zealand’s eligibility criteria.

While open to all majors, students or graduates from the following areas are likely to be prioritised: 

  • Those undertaking an education degree 
  • Qualified teachers 
  • Education institution owners 
  • Education service providers 
  • Education policy makers 
  • International Business students and graduates

Application Process

You must register your interest and be approved by PCF’s selection panel to be eligible for the programme.

Please visit PCF’s website to register your interest. A selection process will take place, including an application form and 2 minute video, and then if shortlisted, a panel interview.

Questions are framed to elicit a merit-based application process that draws upon your personal circumstances, enabling our selection panel of PCF and Pagoda staff to determine who will benefit most from this experience.

  • Application Deadline – 31st August 2025.
  • Outcomes will be shared by 26th September 2025.
1. COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM

2. APPLICATION PROCESS AND INTERVIEW

PCF will help you establish your eligibility and suitability for the programme, as well as answer any questions you may have.

You will be asked to complete the application process including submitted a 2 minute video. If shortlisted, you will then be invited to a panel interview. 

3. OUTCOMES AND ONBOARDING

Your application will be reviewed by the selection panel following the application deadline.

Those who submitted a completed application will be notified of awardee outcomes as by the published date.

Successful candidates will then be informed of next steps for programme onboarding and supported through the necessary predeparture steps.

All programmes are managed on the Pagoda Portal - a digital hub for our student community. This is where you can track your progress, register for events, access skills courses, network with other interns and request additional support.
