Social Media and Community Advocate Internship

Internship Description:

  • Create content strategy and content for social media posts (Blog posts, Posts, Graphics, Videos, etc.)
  • Identify new channels and opportunities to find possible users
  • Create/use social media channels to engage with potential users
  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  • Support marketing team at live and online events

Internship Requirements:

  • Motivation to regularly create quality, genuine content
  • Creativity and drive, interest/passion in the education industry
  • Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in digital communications or a related field such as advertising, journalism or graphic design
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software, such as Facebook Insights to track audience engagement and campaign performance would be a plus
  • Interested in social media trends
  • Copywriting and editing skills
  • Creativity
  • Available to work at least 15-25 hours per week or more
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
