Non-Profit Project Assistant Intern
Internship Description:
This company is seeking a dedicated Non- Profit Project Assistant to support the research and coordination of grants for women’s health programs, with a focus on ethnic women or women workers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant research, proposal writing, and nonprofit organizations, as well as a passion for women’s health.
Possible tasks and projects include:
- Conduct research on potential NGOs, NPOs, government agencies, and corporations that provide grants for women’s health programs, with a focus on programs that support ethnic women or women workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential grant providers
- Collaborate with Host Company team members to identify grant opportunities that align with the clinic’s mission and goals
- Write and submit grant proposals and applications to secure funding for women’s health programs
- Manage the grant application process, including ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines
- Assist with project management tasks, such as budget tracking, progress reporting, and stakeholder communications
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and maintaining project files and records
N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.
Internship Requirements:
- Studying in public health, nonprofit management, or a related field is a plus
- Experience in grant research and proposal writing, preferably in the nonprofit or healthcare sector
- Strong understanding of nonprofit organizations and the grant application process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for women’s health and a commitment to improving access to healthcare for marginalized communities
- Familiarity with project management tools and software is a plus
