Organisation Description:
**They provide traders, farmers, and commission agents with agricultural commodity prices from across mandis all over Pakistan. This is sent to them via Whatsapp Business with the data fetched from our database through an API. They provide mandi videos, and other data (arrivals, trend, quality grading, and news) to inform daily decision-making. They charge through mobile wallets through Whatsapp. Their medium to long-term plans include transforming into a marketplace for agricultural commodity trading by linking third-party transport to facilitate trades.**
Role:
KAEN02 – Front-end Developer for an Agri-tech Platform Company
Internship Description:
– Help create a responsive web app for their new dashboard
– Work on MERN Stack Technologies (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) to develop the dashboard
– Write code in Node and fix bugs
– Work with large datasets to display analysis and market trends
– Generate dynamic charts, graphs, and tables for the dashboard
– Focus on creating a seamless user experience on the website and the dashboard
– Create APIs that cross-functionally adapt to different mediums for other client companies
– Be able to brainstorm ideas relating to web app development, dashboard development and technological integration
– Enhance and improve the user experience through a technological/engineering stand point
Internship Requirements:
– Experience in relevant major/field of study (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics and Big Data, etc.)
– Familiar with writing and debugging code
– Experience with MERN Stack Technologies
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Excellent math and computational ability
– Able to work 35 hours a week
– Eager to learn and collaborate on multiple fronts with our tech and operations teams
