Organisation Description:
**They provide traders, farmers, and commission agents with agricultural commodity prices from across mandis all over Pakistan. This is sent to them via Whatsapp Business with the data fetched from our database through an API. They provide mandi videos, and other data (arrivals, trend, quality grading, and news) to inform daily decision-making. They charge through mobile wallets through Whatsapp. Their medium to long-term plans include transforming into a marketplace for agricultural commodity trading by linking third-party transport to facilitate trades.**
Role:
KAEN01 – Operations Internship for an Agri-tech Platform Company
Internship Description:
– Help managers complete daily tasks (e.g. creating & implementing new policies)
– Manage the content being created by each of the interns and follow up with their daily tasks to ensure the completion
– Provide administrative support to align and run meetings, events, and deadlines
– Participate in the company’s strategic planning and work towards lead generation
– Keep track of business revenue and create business plans
– Help managers in creating content (e.g. writing reports and social media content)
– Streamline online methods of content creation for social media
– Research ways to increase profitability and lower risk
– Optimize social media presence and methods to sell online
– Create and give presentations on a fortnightly and monthly basis
– Help the transition into a functional digital/online business
Internship Requirements:
– Experience in management or a similar/relevant field (e.g. Business Operations, Management, Sales, Logistics, Supply-Chain etc.)
– Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
– Strong verbal and written presentation skills
– Excellent math and computational ability
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills
– A degree in Management or Business
– Able to work 35 hours per week
– Eager to learn and collaborate on multiple fronts with our different teams to streamline operations for a modern digital business
