This organization is a network of interdisciplinary people and organizations with the philosophy of “One for all and all for one” to
achieve a social impact. They aim to achieve this impact through mobilizing the multi- and interdisciplinary skills and resources of each team member in supporting other members of the network with their ideas, projects, and businesses.
They utilize a holacratic and a holistic work mindset with different six circles (Entrepreneurship, Climate, Migration, Coaching, Consulting, Education, and Tech) inspired by the SDGs to empower, influence,
and impact many aspects of life. They are a group of professional and talented people that have complementary skills that are finding pathways to create social impact. They are 10 members with a majority of migrant or migrant origin professionals. They have as individuals a collective experience of more than 17 years in the fields
of NGO, social innovation, civic society, research, climate change, social science, business coaching, innovation management, legal advisory, and the creative sector.

Each one has worked with local, national, European, and global organizations with migrants and disadvantaged communities striving for inclusivity. These individuals have taken on leading, managerial, training, research and administrative positions among these
organizations. Their vision is advancing and accelerating the social and socioeconomic development of migrants to achieve together a smooth and enriching inclusion and a sense of belonging within the thriving European society. They do that through supporting entrepreneurship, innovative ideas, and creativity.

Role: Fundraising and Grant Writing Internship

Internship Description:

You will work closely with the core team of the organization to support the development of their donor knowledge base and stewardship of key donors (including research, briefings, background documents and tracking/reporting on funding opportunities), carry out prospect research, and support special projects. You will also assist with the management of funding opportunities and formulating concept notes and proposal development process, among other activities.

This internship will provide significant insight into and understanding of various aspects of non-profit fundraising across Germany and the EU and in a variety of funding sectors. You will have the opportunity to understand (and contribute to) the proposal development process and operational processes of the organization. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from various teams across the institute, as well as strengthen your research, writing, time management, networking and partnership skills.

Internship Learning Outcomes:

● Conduct short- and long-term research—including donor and prospect research, strategies, collectives, trends, funding opportunities etc.
● Support special projects by using the internal old projects analyzing how to improve them and using them to apply for another fund.
● Coordinate with the Fundraising team manager on funding opportunities that represent major fundraising sectors (Individuals, Foundations, Government, EU and Corporate as CSR)

Requirements:

  • Excellent research, writing and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in working with Google suite
  • A high degree of professionalism and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and comfort juggling multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Familiarity and experience with fundraising, database management and grant writing is a plus
  • Interest in Humanitarian development, Inclusion, Integration, Climate Change, and environmental issues is a plus
