Internship Description:
They are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Business Development Intern to join their growing Start-up. If you’re an ambitious, highly-analytical, quantitative and impact-oriented individual who wants to build a career in business intelligence, business development or project management, then they want to work with you. Your role will serve as a core member of the team and will focus on strategy and planning, business insights and operational excellence to enable the Sales leadership team to make effective, data-driven, strategic operating decisions in an effort to optimise sales performance.
In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organisational abilities:Â They are a small start-up but growing extremely fast, so you will need to move and adapt quickly while keeping focused on high-impact projects. The successful candidate will also have a strong analytical background and (hopefully) experience managing large data sets, the ability to synthesise and make recommendations based on imperfect data from multiple sources, strong business intuition to guide their analysis, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally supporting internal stakeholders.
Tasks:
- Assist in the development of business strategies by using data and statistical analysis to identify potential sellers or business opportunities.
- Promote and encourage new sellers and tour guides to come on board Pandemic Tours’ platform.
- Work closely with our marketing team to help them maximise sales potential by leveraging data, insights, and business solutions.
- Assist the team in terms of running the day-to-day operations, including reporting, performance tracking, and sales support.
N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.
Internship Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher, in business-related topics (e.g. finance, business analytics, consulting, business operations).
- Analytical and comfortable with data, Microsoft Excel skills are a must.
- Enjoy challenges and remain flexible in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Innovative problem-solving skills, able to dissect problems and implement solutions accordingly.
- Excellent command of English with the ability to converse fluently with other areas of the business (marketing, tour guides, sponsors, etc.).
Nice to have:
- Demonstrated problem-solving experience with experience providing business insights, developing actionable recommendations and telling stories based on data sets.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in presenting business and technical content to general audiences.
- Experience prioritising business initiatives/investment cases.
- Experience working independently, managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
