This position is with a Berlin-based AI and Big Data start-up:
We provide advanced equity intelligence for institutional investors. In a world where over 90% of business value is hidden in “intangible” assets like innovation and sustainability, investors cannot anymore rely on traditional financial databases for their research. We use large-scale unstructured data from the Web and analyses it using Natural Language Processing to create complete, real-time profiles of companies and markets. At the moment, we are working with a large range of clients across Europe and offer them APIs and individual SaaS services to upgrade their equity research.

Business Analyst Internship
Internship Description:
Possible tasks and projects include:
- Lots of space for learning and applying computational data science methods, incl. Python, databases, Web scraping etc.
- Wide range of research tasks: company profiling, competitive intelligence, investment research
- Creation of client presentations
- Design and optimization of lean processes for research and knowledge management
- Testing and quality assurance of our data products
N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.
Internship Requirements:
- Major in Business or Data Science
- duration: two months
- Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail
- Interest in business analytics, optimization and automation of analytics tasks
- Native or near-native level in English; knowledge of Chinese and/or German is a plus
- Interest for learning new technical tools for analytics, incl. programming (basic to advanced)
