Internship Description:
Conduct Environmental Impact Research: Delve into academic literature and industry reports to analyze how environmental phenomena, such as droughts, floods, and temperature shifts, influence agricultural production, supply chains, and ultimately, commodity prices; assess the implications of these insights for our exchange’s operations and strategic development. Evaluate Food Security Impacts: Investigate how price volatility driven by environmental factors affects food security at various levels, encompassing availability, accessibility, utilization, and stability; consider the potential consequences for nutritional quality and affordability across diverse communities. Analyze Hedging Effectiveness: Assess the efficacy of hedging tools offered by our exchange in mitigating price risks for farmers, traders, and consumers; Analyze the effectiveness of these tools in promoting market resilience and safeguarding livelihoods. Develop Strategic Recommendations: Based on your research findings, craft insightful recommendations for policymakers, the exchange, and market participants to enhance hedging practices and cultivate a more sustainable and equitable agricultural landscape.
