The Host organization is an NGO founded in northern Thailand, specifically in the Chiang Rai Province’s sub-district of Mae Yao, Mueang Chiang Rai District. Founded in 1991, the foundation aims to help hill tribe people in the area with issues such as citizenship, drug abuse, erosion of culture, and the trafficking of women and children.

Role:

Social Marketing Intern

Internship Description:

As a Social Marketing Intern at The Mirror Foundation, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Community Engagement and Event Planning:
    • Design and execute creative events and activities that promote community engagement and social change.
    • Collaborate with local hill tribe communities to develop and implement projects that address their specific needs and concerns.
    • Assist in organizing and managing charity events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Marketing and Communications
    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to raise awareness about The Mirror Foundation’s projects and initiatives.
    • Create engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
    • Assist in designing and distributing promotional materials, such as brochures and flyers.
  • Project Support
    • Provide administrative support to project teams, including data entry, report writing, and research.
    • Assist in monitoring and evaluating project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies for success.

N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.

Internship Requirements:

  • Strong creative and design skills for event planning and execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for community engagement and project collaboration.
  • Proficiency in operating a till and handling donations effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for project support and evaluation.
