Video Editor Intern

Internship Description:

Dock6 Films is looking for a talented and passionate video editor to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knack for storytelling and the ability to create both long-form documentaries and short, engaging social media content. You will work closely with the team to edit footage captured from various projects, ensuring each video is both visually stunning and emotionally impactful.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit long-form documentaries and short videos for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the cinematographer and director to understand the vision and narrative of each project.
  • Ensure all edits align with the brand’s style and message.
  • Incorporate feedback from the team and make necessary adjustments to the videos.
  • Stay updated on the latest editing trends and techniques to keep our content fresh and innovative.

N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.

Internship Requirements:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work on both fast-paced social media content and in-depth documentary projects.
  • Experience with color grading and sound editing is a plus but not required.
  • Passion for ocean conservation and an interest in underwater cinematography.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
