Internship Description:

As a technology intern, you will be exposed to the entire process that goes into developing a SAAS application so they’ll be able to tailor your tasks to your interest area. Ultimately your job will be to help them solve customer problems through developing new features. To succeed in this role you’ll be a creative problem-solver with a passion for technology and a drive for self-learning beyond the school curriculum.

Role:

Credit Research Analyst

Internship Description:

Your job is to work with their finance team to research, innovate, and build up their credit assessment capabilities in Hong Kong and across Asia-Pacific.
You will primarily be conducting research into how to improve credit assessments for SMEs, although you will also have the opportunity to propose and conduct other research topics.

Possible Research Topics:

  • Alternative data points that affect default probability of SMEs in Hong Kong.
  • The impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance factors on the credit quality of SMEs.
  • The impact of climate change on SME defaults.
  • Forecasting defaults and non-performance of receivables.
  • The impact of different variables in default probability between asset-light businesses and traditional businesses.
  • They are open to all ideas you may have too!

N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.

  • You’ll work closely with the founders who have many years of experience across finance, technology, and start-ups

Role: Operations & Finance Internship Internship

Internship Description: Your role would entail working with the finance team to manage customer funding applications and internal loan operations. This would mean handling all parts of the funding journey through their admin dashboard, customer onboarding, due diligence, credit scoring, and loan management. You would be expected to work with customers directly, so both your written and spoken communication must be excellent.

Possible tasks and projects include:

  • Oversight of lending book including credit limits
  • Streamlining internal operations and finding creative solutions to increase their operational efficiency
  • Manage daily accounting duties including A/P, A/R, general ledger, accounts reconciliations both internally and externally
  • Geographic expansion planning
  • If you’re up for it, there are opportunities to work in and learn about all other functions of the business including product, technology, design, and marketing to name a few

  • The content creator should be more marketing-focused as they can rely on the researcher for the technical details
