We’re looking for a well organised, efficient, detail-oriented professional to oversee the bookings process for over 500 participants on our international programmes each year.

Job Description:

Daily Bookings Process

  • Create and maintain all email templates and call guidelines
  • Distribute leads and monitor response rates
  • Provide training and guidance to bookings administrators
  • Carefully monitor bookings process for all applicants and intervene to enhance the process when needed
  • Conduct phone interviews as part of the bookings team

Data Management

  • Ensure all application booking documentation is up-to-date, compliant and comprehensive
  • Ensure applicant and participant data is managed effectively and in line with GDPR regulations

Partnerships

  • Work with university and government partners in relation to applications, bookings & pre-departure support
  • Conduct pre-departure briefings in person and through webinars

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Manage programme capacity together with operations team
  • Create and regularly maintain bookings forecasts
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure our marketing and bookings strategies are well aligned
  • Work closely with the Pagoda Projects management team to develop and enhance our bookings process
  • Report bookings performance updates to the Pagoda Projects management team on a regular basis

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and well organised
  • Track record of communicating effectively in-person, by email and on the phone
  • Phone-based sales or customer relations experience would be useful
  • Experience working as part of a small, but international team
  • Native-level English

  • Salary of £20,000-£24,000 depending on experience

  • Working with our bookings manager to ensure targets are met
  • Participant data management and general administration tasks
  • Ensure applicant and participant data is managed effectively and in line with GDPR regulations
  • Assist the accounting & finance team by chasing up payments
  • Assist the marketing team by attending promotional events

Requirements:

Our Offer:

  • Full time contract, working term time only
  • Salary of £10-£12 per hour depending on experience and agreed contracted hours.

We’re looking for a well organised, efficient, detail-oriented professional to oversee the bookings process for over 100 participants from Australia & New Zealand each year.

We need somebody to be based in a similar timezone to both our Asia branches and Australia/New Zealand. It would be an advantage if you were based in China, Vietnam, Australia or New Zealand, but we are happy for you to work remotely if you are not based in a city in which we have an office.

General responsibilities and role assumptions:

The role of an intern in our China offices will give you a close insight into the day-to-day running of a business in China. We are a relatively small and family-run business, so you will be welcomed as part of the family and able to enjoy a friendly working atmosphere. The office internships we offer have variety of duties, but each role is tailored to every candidate and their skills.

We have 5 main areas of the role that we’ll ask you throughout the application process of what you’re interested in, which are: sales, business development, marketing, events management and design. A summary of the duties can be found in the internship description below.

Internship Description:

  • Handling of applications, participant data management, and general administration tasks.
  • If the intern has the interest: Video filming and editing, Photoshop design for a multitude of different purposes. In house training available.
  • Communicate with our university partners and establish new partnerships.
  • Create press releases and China related articles, then aim to get them published for press exposure in your home country.
  • Local marketing: occasional flyering and postering, visiting relevant events and networking.
  • Assisting our China-based online marketing team by posting positions on relevant job boards and university careers pages.
  • Blog writing, posting on social networks and contributing to relevant online forums.
  • Email newsletter creation using Mailchimp and photoshop.
  • Assist with the coordination of our alumni network, gather feedback and create relevant statistics for marketing purposes.
  • Assisting your office manager with administration, answering client questions and working on on-going group projects and scholarship schemes which InternChina is currently working on.
  • Arranging regular events, activities and trips for groups of interns.

Requirements:

  • Student or recent graduate
  • Fluent in English. Another European language would be a plus but not a must.
  • Students on business, language or Chinese Studies related degree programs are preferred, but applicants with any degree program will be considered.
  • Tech savvy. Able to use office software effectively.
  • Familiar with all main social networking sites.
  • Hard-working and committed.
  • Enthusiastic about travel and discovering new cultures.

What’s Included:

  • The full time internship located at one of our Mainland China offices.
  • A private bedroom in our accommodation throughout your time in China. You’ll have a choice between apartment or our homestay option. All bills and WiFi included for both options, breakfast and evening meals included with the homestay.
  • Fully comprehensive medical and travel insurance for the duration of the internship.
  • 10 hours of group language Mandarin Chinese classes at our local partner language school.
  • 24/7 support from the InternChina team throughout the programme.

If accepted onto the programme there is no programme fee to pay but you would need to cover the cost of your flights, visa and day to day spends in China.

General responsibilities and role assumptions:

The role of an intern in our China offices will give you a close insight into the day-to-day running of a business in China. We are a relatively small and family-run business, so you will be welcomed as part of the family and able to enjoy a friendly working atmosphere.

We’re looking for a specific type of candidate for a summer internship in Dalian to help assist with this busy period and create a variety of different marketing content to use for future promotion of the city and programmes. Exact dates are flexible, but we’ll only consider those who are able to commit to the full summer of early June to the end of August.

Internship Description:

  • Video filming and editing, Photoshop design for a multitude of different purposes. In house training available where needed.
  • Blog writing, posting on social networks and contributing to relevant online forums.
  • Assisting your office manager with administration, answering client questions and working on on-going group projects and scholarship schemes which InternChina is currently working on.
  • Arranging regular events, activities and trips for groups of interns.

Requirements:

  • Student or recent graduate from a UK university.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Students on media, film, digital marketing, videography, photography course or something similar.
  • Proficient and able to work confidently with photoshop and current video editing software.
  • Creative and tech savvy. Able to use office software effectively.
  • Familiar with all main social networking sites.
  • Hard-working and committed.
  • Enthusiastic about travel and discovering new cultures.
