We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic and data-oriented marketing professional who is looking to join a small, growing business as the in-house marketing manager.

Job Description:

Strategy Delivery

  • Implement our marketing strategy and add your own input to adapt our strategy over time
  • Communicate the marketing strategy effectively to our team
  • Be the go-to person for all things marketing within our business
  • Work towards ambitious targets in relation to reach, engagement and conversion

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Plan and Co-ordinate marketing campaigns with upcoming/ongoing sales activities.
  • Work with our teams in Mexico, Vietnam, China and the UK to produce organic social media content, ensuring that all materials are in line with our brand identity
  • Work with our creative director to deliver amazing digital content and ensure it reaches the right audiences
  • Create web content and landing pages
  • Lead on the creation of written content on our website and external sources
  • Manage a budget for paid social media campaigns
  • Deliver targeted ad campaigns on social media channels
  • Create and deliver an effective email marketing strategy
  • Create and deliver Google Adwords campaigns
  • Monitor leads and work with the bookings and partnerships teams to track conversion
  • Use analytics to carefully monitor and optimize the impact of digital marketing campaigns

In-person Marketing

  • Lead on the creation and management of the Pagoda Projects ambassador network
  • Work with the entire team to create outstanding content for B2B and B2C engagement
  • Attend occasional student-facing marketing events across the UK, such as careers fairs, presentations & panel discussions
  • Attend occasional networking events and conferences, building Pagoda Projects’ network of partners

Requirements:

  • Creative mindset – we want you to consistently come up with awesome new ideas for marketing campaigns and deliver them quickly and effectively
  • Enthusiasm – we want someone to be passionate about marketing our opportunities to prospective university and government partners, as well as student participants
  • Ambition – We are looking for someone who shares our ambition and is looking to take the next step in their career with a small, but international business
  • Track record – 2+ years experience working in a marketing role, either agency or in-house
  • Ability to lead a small team and be the go-to person for all things marketing
  • In-depth knowledge and recent experience using Google Analytics
  • Experience of creating and delivering successful PPC and paid social media campaigns
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work across timezones, with English to native level
  • Experience using WordPress would be beneficial

  • Salary of £25,000-£28,000 depending on experience

We’re looking for a well organised, efficient, detail-oriented professional to help administer the bookings process for over 500 participants on our international programmes each year.

Job Description:

  • Respond to initial applications by email and on the phone
  • Following up with ongoing applications
  • Liaising with our China, Vietnam & Mexico teams to ensure speedy placement of participants with internship host companies
  • Conduct phone interviews with candidates for our various funded programmes
  • Answering pre-departure questions from booked participants
  • Working with our bookings manager to ensure targets are met
  • Participant data management and general administration tasks
  • Ensure applicant and participant data is managed effectively and in line with GDPR regulations
  • Assist the accounting & finance team by chasing up payments
  • Assist the marketing team by attending promotional events

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and well organised
  • Ability to communicate effectively in-person, by email and on the phone
  • 2 years minimum work experience of phone-based sales or customer relations experience
  • Enjoys working as part of a small, but international team
  • Native-level English

Our Offer:

The role of an programme support assistant in our Mexico office will give you a close insight into the day-to-day running of an international business. We are a relatively small business, so you will be welcomed as part of the family and able to enjoy a friendly working atmosphere. We are looking for someone to help organise and run our existing programme in addition to planning for future programmes.

We have 5 main areas of the role that we’ll ask you throughout the application process of what you’re interested in, which are: managing accommodation, business development, marketing, events management and administration. A summary of the duties can be found in the internship description below.

Job Description:

  • Answering participant enquiries and problem solving
  • Offering recommendations for restaurants, activities, trips and sites to visit in and around Mexico City
  • Contacting landlords, landladies, cleaners and handypersons to help maintain participant apartments
  • Researching accommodation options for foreigners in Mexico City
  • Helping to research and reach out to potential internship companies in Mexico City
  • Offering advice on safety and local information regarding changes in the city that might affect participants
  • Creating resources in English for participants that will help with professional development, cultural understanding of Mexico
  • Help take photos, footage and record content for social media platforms about the programme and the participants
  • Give advice on how to get around the city and where to buy things
  • Prepare and send out emails, newsletters and update internal admin systems for the programme
  • Attend networking events, prospect and meet with potential internship host companies in Mexico City

Requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish and a good level of spoken and written English
  • Student or recent graduate
  • Students on business or language courses, but applicants with any degree program will be considered

The role of an intern in our China offices will give you a close insight into the day-to-day running of a business in China. We are a relatively small and family-run business, so you will be welcomed as part of the family and able to enjoy a friendly working atmosphere. The office internships we offer have variety of duties, but each role is tailored to every candidate and their skills.

We have 5 main areas of the role that we’ll ask you throughout the application process of what you’re interested in, which are: sales, business development, marketing, events management and design. A summary of the duties can be found in the internship description below.

Internship Description:

  • Handling of applications, participant data management, and general administration tasks.
  • If the intern has the interest: Video filming and editing, Photoshop design for a multitude of different purposes. In house training available.
  • Communicate with our university partners and establish new partnerships.
  • Create press releases and China related articles, then aim to get them published for press exposure in your home country.
  • Local marketing: occasional flyering and postering, visiting relevant events and networking.
  • Assisting our China-based online marketing team by posting positions on relevant job boards and university careers pages.
  • Blog writing, posting on social networks and contributing to relevant online forums.
  • Email newsletter creation using Mailchimp and photoshop.
  • Assist with the coordination of our alumni network, gather feedback and create relevant statistics for marketing purposes.
  • Assisting your office manager with administration, answering client questions and working on on-going group projects and scholarship schemes which InternChina is currently working on.
  • Arranging regular events, activities and trips for groups of interns.

Requirements:

  • Student or recent graduate
  • Fluent in English. Another European language would be a plus but not a must.
  • Students on business, language or Chinese Studies related degree programs are preferred, but applicants with any degree program will be considered.
  • Tech savvy. Able to use office software effectively.
  • Familiar with all main social networking sites.
  • Hard-working and committed.
  • Enthusiastic about travel and discovering new cultures.

What’s Included:

  • The full time internship located at one of our Mainland China offices.
  • A private bedroom in our accommodation throughout your time in China. You’ll have a choice between apartment or our homestay option. All bills and WiFi included for both options, breakfast and evening meals included with the homestay.
  • Fully comprehensive medical and travel insurance for the duration of the internship.
  • 10 hours of group language Mandarin Chinese classes at our local partner language school.
  • 24/7 support from the InternChina team throughout the programme.

If accepted onto the programme there is no programme fee to pay but you would need to cover the cost of your flights, visa and day to day spends in China.
