General responsibilities and role assumptions:

The role of a remote intern in our company will give you a close insight of our leading remote internship programme, assisting with the planning of ongoing employability sessions and internships programmes in collaboration with our several destinations around the world!

The remote summer internship role we’re recruiting for are full-time positions, Monday-Friday each week and focused on supporting the team as Pagoda Projects deliver a remote internship programme for our university and government partners!

We are a relatively small and family-run business, so you will be welcomed as part of the family and able to enjoy a friendly working atmosphere. The internships we offer have variety of duties, but each role is tailored to every candidate and their skills.

We have 5 main areas of the internship that we’ll ask you throughout the application process of what you’re interested in. These are: sales, business development, marketing, events management, and design. A summary of the duties can be found in the internship description below.

Internship Description:

  • Participant data management and general administration tasks.
  • Editing, Photoshop design for a multitude of different purposes with in-house training available.
  • Create press releases and articles, then aim to get them published for press exposure
  • Assisting our online marketing team by posting internship positions on relevant job boards and university careers pages.
  • Blog writing, posting on social networks and contributing to relevant online forums.
  • Email newsletter creation using Mailchimp and photoshop.
  • Assist with the coordination of our alumni network, gather feedback, and create relevant statistics for marketing purposes.
  • Assisting with general administration, answering participant questions, and working through on-going group projects and scholarship schemes.
  • Business development research projects for our different branches.

Requirements:

  • Student or recent graduate
  • Fluent in English. Another European language would be a plus but not a must.
  • Students on business, language or Chinese/Spanish/Vietnamese Studies related degree programs are preferred, but applicants with any degree program will be considered.
  • Tech savvy. Able to use office software effectively.
  • Familiar with all main social networking sites.
  • Hard-working and committed.
  • Enthusiastic about travel and discovering new cultures.

Introduction to the role

We’re looking for someone at an early stage of their career to lead on marketing to universities and government bodies. You will have worked in international higher education in relation to student mobility, international partnerships or international marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation 

  • Collaborate with university partners to create conference sessions and awards entries.
  • Create written content such as white papers or reports which showcase our best practice, case studies and positive outcomes.
  • Write press releases.
  • Create landing pages on our website for new partnerships.
  • Create text content for proposals and brochures.
  • Write content for bids as part of formal tender processes.

Digital Marketing 

  • Generate leads for our partnerships team through a coordinated set of marketing activities.
  • Create and manage email campaigns aimed at universities and government bodies.
  • Update customer-facing website content.
  • Monitor analytics, amend content and CTAs in accordance with site visitor behaviour.
  • Create and post organic content on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Create and run a paid marketing strategy for LinkedIn.

Events & Networking

  • Identify key marketing and PR opportunities such as conferences, events and awards.
  • Manage the calendar of events and allocate staffing.
  • Attend relevant sector events such as conferences and awards.

Requirements

  • A graduate from a UK university.
  • Proven track record of relevant content writing and producing digital campaigns.
  • Demonstrable global mindset and interest in other cultures.
  • Experience of an overseas programme during your university studies.
  • Natural ability to balance professionalism and familiarity.
  • Desire to build your network within the international higher education community.
  • Experience using WordPress.

  • ÂŁ24,000 annual salary, negotiable based on skills and experience.

We’re looking for someone at an early stage of their career to help us build out our digital platform using WordPress. We’ve built an exciting digital platform in-house, which now has 500+ active users. You will create new features, resolve issues and work with our growing international team to develop our digital platform.

Job Description

  • Develop new features and where necessary hire and manage external developers to contribute.
  • Manage automations linking WordPress with our CRM using Webhooks and Zapier.
  • Publish new content created by our team.
  • Work with third party plugin developers to solve issues and create new features
  • Ensure best practice is followed in relation to site security and user data management.
  • Run regular backups
  • Oversee hosting and cloud server
  • Manage themes and plugins

Requirements

  • Ability to debug performance and caching issues
  • Experience with building custom themes and plugins
  • Experience with using mySQL and databases
  • Advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience in cross-browser compatibility, usability, and accessibility design issues.
  • Preferable: Experience using BuddyBoss or BuddyPress.
  • Preferable: Experience running a site on AWS or Google Cloud

Our Offer

  • ÂŁ25,000-ÂŁ28,000 Annual Salary
  • Location: Flexible. Can be office-based in Manchester, Madrid or Lisbon, work from home or hybrid.
