HKBS07 – Account Executive for Hospitality Organization
Internship Description:
Full Set of Accounting:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare journal entries, perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Management Account Preparation:
Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost control or revenue enhancement.
Present financial reports and findings to management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Generate and submit statutory financial reports, tax filings, and other compliance-related documents accurately and within the prescribed deadlines.Xero Accounting Expertise:
Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records in Xero Accounting, reconciling transactions and resolving any discrepancies.Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
Internship Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role, specifically handling the full set of accounting and management account preparation.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in using Xero Accounting software, including advanced skills in its features and functionalities.
Familiarity with Hong Kong accounting regulations and tax laws is added advantages.
Solid understanding of financial analysis and variance reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA).
Experience in the F&B industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with other accounting software and systems.
