Organisation Description:

This host company is a pioneering UK-Thailand-based company dedicated to sustainable and innovative biochar production through the Kontiki kiln process. They’re building a national network of ‘farm-to-farm’ solutions where they use waste agricultural biomass to create biochar fertiliser. This will have a significant impact in reducing agricultural environmental impact and whilst enhancing agricultural practices by transforming organic waste into high-quality biochar.

Role:

Administrative Accounting Specialist Intern

Internship Description:

  • Manage day-to-day financial tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating and resolving discrepancies and errors
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budget forecasts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and financial transactions
  • Assist in financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data
  • Liaise with carbon certification companies, registries and auditors

N.B. tasks and projects may vary depending on current priorities. Specific projects and responsibilities will be discussed during an interview.

Internship Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or studying) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in administrative accounting or financial management
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Familiarity with Thai financial regulations and tax requirements is NOT essential
