Francesca completed an 8 week Generation UK funded study and internship experience in Chengdu, where she studied Chinese for 3 weeks at a local university and 5 weeks interning for an Ecological conservation company.
“When we came to our internship, we already had a good base level of Mandarin which made communicating with them so much easier and I think it really helped me settle into internship life.”
After 2 months in China, Francesca left with lasting impressions of the vibrant Chinese culture, as well as practical work experience and new abilities in Chinese language.
“China, for me, is such an exciting place to be and experience, and I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to come here to meet the people, to try new exciting food. […] I’ve just had the most wonderful, wonderful time!”
