Internship Position:
Program Assistant
Internship Description:
- Attend orphanage visits with organisation staff
- Prepare supplies for weekly one-on-ones and therapy sessions, and replace supplies when necessary
- Conduct one-on-ones with one select child every week
- Update records of therapy data collected by volunteers weekly
- Collect volunteer testimonials regularly and compile into one document
- Conduct research regarding special needs, child development, etc. as needed
- Create program tools as needed, such as volunteer guides, downloadable resources for the website, or assessment tools for children
- Assist with events or other projects as needed
Internship Requirements:
- Kind, energetic, trustworthy, positive attitude
- Patient and flexible, not easily frustrated
- Ability to be creative and come up with new and fun ideas for children
- Willingness to learn new things and do common tasks in new ways
- Can work independently and take initiative in projects
- General knowledge of child appropriate activities and a child’s basic needs
- Fluent in English • Has a University degree, or is currently a University student
