The internship is at their office in the business district of Qingdao, with their international department focusing mainly on tourists from America, Germany and Japan. Their domestic tours have been growing each year as domestic travels within China has become more popular to their Chinese clientele. Moreover, there is a high demand from Malaysian tourists who wish to explore the scenic routes of China. Only this year, international cruises from the U.S and Europe have become established and well on its way to becoming the new method of travel. Year by year, this travel company is growing, not only in clientele but in travel destinations.

Marketing Assistant

Internship Description:

This is a unique chance to work with an organisation that is committed to providing first class service to their customers travelling to and from China. You will be responsible for:

  • Help out with the daily operational business of the Travel Consultants and the Operations Manager (data management, website maintenance, translations etc.)
  • Support staff in assigned project based work (market and internet research, networking, etc.)
  • Pickups and deliveries of documents within Shandong
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors at our office
  • Various sales & marketing tasks
  • Other regular and typical office tasks

Requirements:

  • Be knowledgeable of or willing to learn about different destinations in Qingdao and Shandong.
  • Enjoy travel and like working for customers from all over the world.
  • Ability to quickly develop a sense of responsibility towards company, colleagues and job.
  • Good English skills and minimum basic Chinese skills (further European language is a plus).
  • Good computer skills: Microsoft Office Package, Chinese Word Processing; basic technical IT skills are a plus.
