Company Description:

Since 2009, this company has provided its industrial clients, such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Offshore Wind Farm (OWF), and Taiwan (ROC) Navy, with blasting and painting protective coating projects services, and selling innovative SchmidtⓇ abrasive blasting equipment to the clients or their contractors. These projects mitigate and protect the industrial clients’ production infrastructures from corrosion loss and extend those facilities’ service life.

Internship Description:

  • Launch their online platforms (Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn)
  • Launch their website
  • Research content for their website surrounding innovation in technologies and social sustainability
  • Create or localise interesting and creative content
  • Outreach and activation of core network for the online platform launch
  • Produce content on a range of topics with links to articles, videos and photos
  • Research & preparation of tweets, Facebook, and LinkedIn posts to populate a content calendar
  • Preparation of imagery and video for social media posts
  • Scheduling and management of posts across platforms
  • Monitoring and analysing the success of social media outreach
  • Engagement with social media communities around posts, their messages, and queries

Internship Requirements:

  • Major: Marketing (Digital Marketing)
  • Language skills: English (fluent), or English/Mandarin Bilingual
  • Duration: 20 hours per week of work, 3-6 months
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of marketing and communications. A marketing or communications degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Passion for copywriting and creative expression
  • Interested in design and technology
  • Motivation to realise a more sustainable and ethical world
  • An interdisciplinary, keen learner that is curious about how things are made, where they are produced, and the story behind what we consume
  • Open and approachable communication skills so to be able to reach out to new persons online and build relationships
  • Assumes responsibilities and initiative, ability to troubleshoot and keep calm when faced with a complex matter
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • A design-oriented person that has a grasp of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Practice or a willingness to use video editing software: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or even iMovie
  • Experience and interest in using social media platforms for community engagement like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Ideally has experience in using online community engagement tools
  • Social media competent and WordPress literate
  • The creativity of thought – Self-motivated, down to earth and interested in the world
