Role:
Finance Internship for an Online Fundraising Platform
Internship Description:
– Outreach to Corporate Partners: You will be responsible for reaching out to corporate partners and introducing them to the host companies’ match funding program. This program allows them to directly fund not-for-profits and social enterprises that are crowdfunding with the company
– Research and Assessment: Conduct research on potential clients, evaluate company initiatives and campaigns, and provide assessments to support decision-making processes
– Strategic planning: Assist in the development of strategic plans for fundraising initiatives and campaigns
– Collaborate with the team to devise effective strategies for maximizing fundraising opportunities
– Deal Flow Management: Work on direct briefs and exclusive mandates from investors. Assist in sourcing and pre-vetting deal flow against specific criteria
– Learning and Development: Engage in tasks that offer a learning experience and a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in fundraising. Gain insights into various industries, including Impact, Renewable Energy, Real Estate, Tech, Cannabis, Crypto, Blockchain, and Media & Entertainment
Internship Requirements:
– Finance and Business background: Currently pursuing a degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
– Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles is desirable
– Strong Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to engage in professional outreach to corporate partners and effectively communicate research findings
– Research and Analytical Skills: Proficient in conducting research, analyzing data, and providing insightful assessments.
– Attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial information is essential
– Strategic thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of fundraising strategies.
– Creative problem-solving skills are highly valued
– Self-Motivated and reliable: Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
– Must be proactive, responsible, and able to manage tasks effectively in a remote working environment
– Interest in Finance and Fundraising: Enthusiasm for finance, fundraising, and capital raising.
