These are the main, overnight weekend trips we will be running from Zhuhai over the upcoming summer months.

Each trip has limited number of places, so sign up asap to not miss out!
Payment for the trips will be required at least 30 days prior to your arrival date in China (not 30 days before the trip date) and you will be issued with an invoice when you book the trips.

SHANGHAI - 15th - 17th November 2019 <-- Click to expand

Mint Club in the Evening – (for those who would like to attend) This amazing club is home to a giant shark tank. Its one of the longest standing clubs in Shanghai and a great place to celebrate our arrival.
Saturday 16th November
Exploring Tianzifang – A great place to experience the up and coming arts scene and vibrancy of this quaint district of the city.
Jing’an Temple – A chance to witness the contrast between the old and the new in this stunning city center temple.
PuDong (浦东) and the Bund – You’ve all seen the photos of people with the sprawling skyline behind them well now is your chance to grab that fantastic picture for yourself!
Dinner at Shanghai Laolao
Captain’s Bar and the Bund at night – a great chance to see the amazing city skyline.
Sunday 17th November
IFC Tower – A chance to take in the views from the top of one of Asia’s tallest buildings.
Yuyuan Gardens – Opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle taking in the natural beauty of this park situated in the heart of the city! In addition, visit the market area and surrounding the gardens and practice your bartering!
Return to Shanghai airport
Cost of trip – 995 RMB, this includes transportation to and from all attractions via metro, 2 nights in the hostel, Saturday night group dinner, entrance ticket to all attractions.
Return Flight to Shanghai from Zhuhai, breakfast/lunch/dinner (apart from Saturday dinner) are not included in the trip price.

Please book your flights to arrive on Friday 15th November before 14:00 to PVG – Shanghai Pudong Airport. Please book your flights to leave Shanghai Pudong Airport after 17:00 on Sunday 17th November.

Important: due to the distance between Shanghai and our InternChina host cities, train travel is not recommended and we will not be able to offer train station pickup.

This is due to local visa regulations – Hong Kong is considered outside of mainland China for visa purposes, and participants on single entry visas will not be allowed back into mainland China to continue your trip and programme.

BEIJING - 6th - 8th December 2019 <-- Click to expand
Friday 6th December– Airport pickup at Beijing Capital Airport. Check into our regular hostel upon arrival. Visit to the Wangfujing food market – over 2000 square metres in size, with over 500 choices!
Saturday 7th December– Set off early to go to arguably the best part of the Great Wall of China – Mutianyu. This part of the wall is further out of the city meaning less crowds and more mountainous scenery. Spend the afternoon walking along the wall and having lunch at its base. Your Great Wall entrance ticket includes a cable car ride up to the top of the wall, and (more excitingly) a toboggan ride down off the wall! In the evening we will all go to one of the best Peking Duck restaurants in the city for a taste of one of China’s most famous dishes. Afterwards the group can visit some bars and clubs to party if they like!
Sunday 8th December– The group will visit the world famous Tian’anmen Square (the world’s largest public square) and also the Forbidden City (where the Emperor of China used to live). After this, we will return to Beijing Capital Airport to fly back to your cities!
Cost of trip – 995 RMB, this includes transportation to and from all attractions, Saturday night dinner, 2 nights in the hostel, entrance ticket to all attractions.
Return flights to/from Beijing, breakfasts and lunches are not included!

YANGSHUO - 25th -27th October 2019 <-- Click to expand
Friday 25th October – Make our way to Yangshuo and settle in to our hostel for the evening
Saturday 26th October – Saturday morning we will adventure out into the amazing karst hill landscape with a hike, going off the beaten track to see the best sights.
We will make our way back to Yangshuo in the afternoon so you can explore the town on your own, including West Street, popular for it’s many shops, restaurants and bars. Don’t forget to try the famous beer fish or beer duck for dinner!
Sunday 27th October – In the morning we will make our way to the Yulong River to catch a bamboo raft and cruise down the river. Along the way we will see picturesque scenery, including the famous spot that can be seen on the back of the 20 RMB note! In the afternoon we will visit the Moon Hill and Silver Caves

WAILINGDING ISLAND - September 7th - 8th 2019 <-- Click to expand
Zhuhai is known as the city of islands, with over 200 islands around the city. One of InternChina’s favorites is Wailingding island. It is reached by a 70-minute ferry from Zhuhai. Once the territory of pirates and smugglers, it is now filled with cafes, and seafood restaurants. This overnight trip will give you the opportunity to escape the city, and relax on the beach or enjoy nature for a couple of days.
Saturday 7th September–Meet at Xiangzhuo port at 8:15, ferry departs Zhuhai at 8:40 and will arrive at Wailingding at 10:10am.
Go to the beach to get our tents, and set up the tents on the beach. We will all then go get lunch at a local restaurant. There will then be free time in the afternoon to chill on the beach, go swimming in the water, explore the island or go hiking. The Island is relatively small.
Meet for dinner at 6pm, we will go to a local restaurant. In the evening we will then have a bonfire and some drinks.
Sunday 8th September – Sunday morning you are free to explore the island/go swimming/relax on the beach.
We will be departing early afternoon back to Zhuhai.
Cost of trip – 600 RMB, this includes transportation to and from Zhuhai as well as transportation to and from all attractions, 1 nights accommodation, entrance ticket to all attractions.

SHENZHEN - November 29th - December 1st 2019 <-- Click to expand
Saturday 29th November –Take the ferry to Shenzhen from Zhuhai on Saturday morning and book into the hotel
We will then go to the Di Wang Mansion viewing floor, This 69 storey building is the city’s tallest and is the 9th tallest in mainland China. Head up to the Diwang’s Meridian View Center to get an unforgettable 360 degree view of the city.
We will then go for some lunch before heading to Da Fen Oil painting village/art district, of This village is almost entirely dedicated to painting. Get a self-portrait done or request a freshly-painted Van Gogh or Rembrandt.
In the evening we will then go to Seaworld water front, This beating heart of life in Shenzhen is actually quite famous within China. It was here, or rather the nearby port, that the idea of a modern, open China was launched back in 1979. It was the designated as a Free Trade Zone and allowed foreign oil companies to come in and open up shop
Sunday 1st December – On Sunday morning we will then go to the window of the world, which has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares (118 acres).
Cost of trip – 700 RMB, this includes transportation to and from Zhuhai as well as transportation to and from all attractions, 1 nights accommodation, entrance ticket to all attractions and breakfast.

TANGKOU - November 9th - 10th 2019 <-- Click to expand
Saturday 9th November –After check in, the day will include a Tangkou introduction and visit to Candong village and cycle through the countryside. In the afternoon wander round a farmers market and select the veg for the dinner prepared by local villagers. If you’re interested, you can get hands on in the kitchen and learn some Cantonese cooking secrets!
Sunday 10th November – After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of UNESCO world heritage sites and then we will wrap up the weekend with a talk on Overseas Chinese and their History / Revitalization Projects/ Diaolou and conservation/ planning etc.
Cost of trip – 900 RMB, this includes transportation to and from Zhuhai as well as transportation to and from all attractions, 1 nights in the hostel, entrance ticket to all attractions and breakfast.

HUANGYAO ANCIENT TOWN - September 20th - 22nd 2019 <-- Click to expand
This will be a weekend of beautiful scenery and lots of culture/history. An InternChina first, Huangyao ancient town is a 3.6-square-kilometer-town (1.4 square miles), with more than 300 folk houses, 20 temples, and ancestral halls, and 10 pavilions and opera stages scattered around, mostly from the Ming (1368 – 1644) and Qing (1644 – 1911) dynasty.
We will leave from Zhuhai on Friday at 3pm and take a bus to Huanyao, arriving in the evening. We will then check into the hostel.
Saturday 21st September –We will wake up and go for breakfast before setting off to the Wenming Pavillion. Wenming Pavillion – This temple was built on the mountain. It functions as a worship site for the locals. From the pavilion, you can see the beautiful view of the country side, as well as the river.
After going to the Pavillion we will go for lunch at a local restaurant. Before then walking around the town, Some key sights will be;
- The immortal Ancient wells, this landscape houses 5 wells with 1 meter (3.28 feet) depth. The water in these wells is regarded as immortal water.
- An’Le temple, In 1573, there were some villains coming to steal from the local residents. The local government sent soldiers to suppress the rebellion. The people built this temple in honor of these heroic soldiers.
- The Ancient Opera Stage, The Ancient Opera Stage is located near the Yaojiang River. It was built in 1524.
After exploring the town we will then go for dinner and head back to the hostel for the evening. You will then have free time in the evening.
Sunday 22nd September –After breakfast, we will head to Zhou’s Family Reservoir. Zhou’s family reservoir is a beautifully scenic area now, we may even be able to do some bamboo rafting on the reservoir.
We will then head back to Zhuhai after lunch.

TIBET - September 27th - 30th 2019 <-- Click to expand
Join the 4 day trip to Lhasa, Tibet!
Lhasa is the capital of Tibet, focal point of Tibetan Buddhism for over a millennium and, a city of incredible beauty and intrigue. One of the highest cities in the world at an altitude of 11,450 ft and home to significant Tibetan Buddhist sites this is an incredible opportunity to travel this distant land.
The Potala Palace – an iconic site (Google it!) -will leave you with goosebumps after the first site of the incredible soaring structure – it is a must see when visiting Tibet and is part of this 4 day trip, other must see sites included on the trip are the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery.
This is a once in a life time opportunity and one not to be missed!
Saturday 27th September 2019 – Arrive in Lhasa by plane from Chengdu where you will then be transferred to your comfortable 3 star hotel and have the opportunity to have a rest or gentle walk to acclimatize to your new surroundings.
Sunday 28th September 2019 – Today will be your first full chance to be a tourist in Tibet; you will take in the views from the Potala Palace, visit one of Tibets most sacred sites Jokhang Temple and take in the atmosphere of Barkhor Street with its unique local food and costumes.
Monday 29th September 2019 – Following on from your first full day in Lhasa, today you will visit the Drepung Monastery as well as the Sera Monastery. These are more incredible sights and offer the chance to experience a unique debate from the local monks.
Tuesday 30th September 2019 – Today your journey in Tibet will finish! You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Chengdu.
