Baidu Maps – Tutoriel en Français

Comme vous le savez surement, en Chine l’accĂšs Ă  Google – et donc toutes les applications que vous utilisez tous les jours ou presque – est assez limitĂ©! Lors de votre arrivĂ©e en Chine l’équipe d’InternChina vous expliquera comment vous servir de Baidu Maps, l’équivalent de notre indispensable Google Maps! Seul problĂšme, l’application est en chinois, alors j’espĂšre que ce petit tutoriel vous aidera Ă  vous rafraichir la mĂ©moire si jamais vous avez besoin de vous en servir!
AprĂšs votre session d’orientation vous aurez tĂ©lĂ©chargĂ© Baidu Maps, et crĂ©ez votre compte donc nous allons sauter ces Ă©tapes! Nous vous aurons Ă©galement expliquer comment enregistrer un endroit dans vos favoris. Besoin d’un petit rappel?

  • N’oubliez pas d’éteindre votre VPN et d’activer la localisation !

Pour enregistrer un endroit comme favoris voici les Ă©tapes Ă  suivre :

  1. Entrez la localisation de votre choix par exemple pour le bar LPG à Qingdao : “laofeijiuba”
  2. Cliquez et la localisation s’affiche
  3. Pour enregistrer en tant que favoris, vous n’avez qu’à cliquez sur l’étoile en bas Ă  gauche, et voilĂ !

Cliquez ici pour démarrer la navigation

Suivez les étapes suivantes pour retrouvez les endroits que vous avez au préalable enregistré comme favoris :

  1. Cliquez sur votre profil
  2. Cliquez sur l’icĂŽne Ă©toile pour retrouver vos favoris
  3. Pour modifier l’alias de votre destination favorite cliquez longuement sur l’adresse
  4. SĂ©lectionnez le premier mot en chinois â€œé‡ć‘œćâ€
  5. Ecrivez un nom que vous retiendrez plus facilement
  6. Cliquez sur “硼漚” pour valider

Appuyez longuement sur un nom pour le modifier

Cliquez ici pour modifier le nom

Changez le nom et cliquez ici pour valider

Et voila le nom a changĂ© et c’est plus simple pour vous repĂ©rer!

Vous voulez savoir le trajet de ce bus ou de ce mĂ©tro, et ces horaires? Avec Baidu c’est possible:

  1.  Pour cherche ligne, de métro : indiquez la ligne + haoxian / pour le bus : numéro +lu (voir fig:1.a)
  2. Cliquez sur le premier choix pour le bus, second en général pour le métro
  3. La ligne s’affiche
  4. Pour afficher les stations les plus proches suivre cliquez comme sur fig 3.a
  5. Puis cliquez ici pour démarrer la navigation et vous y rendre

Activez le mode piĂ©ton et rendez-vous Ă  l’arrĂȘt !

Rappels:

  • Le dĂ©part de la ligne est marquĂ© par le curseur vert, l’arrivĂ©e en rouge.

Disons qu’aujourd’hui c’est jeudi, vous devez vous rendre au restaurant que nous vous avons indiquĂ©. Par un malheureux hasard vous ne parvenez pas Ă  ouvrir la localisation, pas de panique on vous fournit Ă©galement l’adresse afin de vous dĂ©brouiller avec Baidu. Voici la marche Ă  suivre, prenons l’adresse du restaurant Magic Eggplant : ć€§ć°§äž‰è·Ż26ć· (dayaosanlu 26hao)

  1. Copiez-collez l’adresse dans la barre de recherche
  2. Cliquez sur le rond bleu pour dĂ©marrer l’itinĂ©raire
  3. C’est l’option voiture qui s’affiche en premier, vous trouverez le prix moyen qu’un taxi vous coutera si vous voulez choisir cette option en bas, la petite ligne : dans l’exemple c’est 10RMB
  4. Cliquez ici pour afficher l’itinĂ©raire en transport en commun (bien plus pratique!) et choisissez l’option 1 par exemple
  5. Si vous ne savez pas comment vous rendre Ă  l’arrĂȘt de bus cliquez sur le petit pied bleu
  6. Vous pouvez savoir Ă  combien d’arrĂȘt se trouve votre bus pour savoir votre temps d’attente approximatif
  7. Une fois arrivĂ© cliquez sur ce pied bleu pour vous rendre de l’arrĂȘt au restaurant – facile non?

Voici en image quelques informations supplémentaires si vous ne savez pas lire le chinois:

  • Le nombre d’arrĂȘt se trouve Ă  gauche, dans la colonne de droite ce sont les minutes
  • Pour un chemin Ă  pied, le temps est indiquĂ© puis la distance
  • Pour choisir votre itinĂ©raire, comparez le temps et la distance Ă  parcourir Ă  pied pour faire votre choix

Must Have Apps for Vietnam

Most of the apps on your phone will still be useful in Vietnam, and there is no need to download a VPN. Popular apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Uber will all work (although you can Uber a motorcycle as well as a car!) You can also use Google Translate and Maps to get around and speak to locals!

GRAB

Grab is a Vietnamese Uber equivalent. Much like Uber, you can see the rate before you get in the car, and the app will also give you a driver profile so you can see who’s picking you up. Of course, you can also keep an eye on the driver’s route!

Cốc Cốc Map

This is the Google Map Vietnam equivalent. In this app, you can find your nearest restaurant, ATM or petrol station (if you ever need one.)

BusMap

This super useful app will help you get around on public transport in Ho Chi Minh. With over 2,000 bus stops and 100 different bus routes, navigating public transport is made simple with this easy to use app.

Baidu Maps Step by Step Tutorial

As you may know, in China you’ll need a VPN to use your favourite apps via Google. And most of the time the traditional Google Maps isn’t really accurate in China, so it’s better to be able to use Chinese map applications. No worries, when you arrive in China our team on place will give you an orientation and help you discover Baidu Maps. However this application is all in Chinese, so we thought this tutorial would be helpful in case you don’t remember all the information we give you on your first day in China!
Our team will help you download the app, and set up your account when you’ll arrive, so I won’t talk about those steps!

Don’t forget : when you want to use Baidu Maps, turn off you VPN – it will be faster!

Favourite Places

Want to know how to save a location as a favourite in Baidu? Follow those steps:

  1. Type the location name or address. For example, the LPG Bar in Qingdao is “Laofeijiuba”
  2. Click on the location and it will appear on the map
  3. To save it for later, just press the star on the left bottom corner – you did it !

How to Find Your Favourite Places

  1. Click on your profile
  2. Click on the Star to access your favourites
  3. To rename it, long press on the location
  4. Then choose “é‡ć‘œć”
  5. Use a name that you’ll easily remember, like LPG
  6. Click on “硼漚” to save it! Easy right?

Bus and Subway Maps

Want to know the bus or metro route, and the timetable? You just need to use Baidu Maps!

  1. For subway line: enter the line number + “haoxian”
  2. For bus line: enter bus number + “lu”
  3. Choose the 1st choice, or one that looks correct
  4. Now you can see the entire route, and timetable in both directions
  5. Click here to find out where is the nearest bus station
  6. Click here to go there by foot without getting lost!

Reminder:

  • 1st stop is indicated by the green pointer, and the last one by the red one.

Let’s say, today is Thursday, and you signed in to join us! Unfortunately you can’t use the location we gave you on our group chat. No worries, we will always give you the location, and the address so you can either follow the location, or search for it on Baidu yourself!

Let’s say tonight we are going to Magic Eggplant in Qingdao: ć€§ć°§äž‰è·Ż26ć· (Dayaosanlu 26hao)

  1. Copy the adress here
  2. To see the route, click on the blue button
  3. Taxi route will appear firstly, you can see how much it might cost you if you chose this option, here 10 RMB
  4. Click here to chose the public transportation way, and chose the first route for example ( to know more go the bonus pictures)
  5. How to go there? Follow the foot
  6. When is the bus coming? It’s one stop away on this case
  7. Ok we arrived at the bus stop, let’s go to the restaurant – follow the blue foot again!

Bonus Information

For those who can’t read or speak Chinese, here is some more information on how to be a pro at Baidu Maps!

  • Left part : How many stops in total / Right part : How long will the journey take
  • Are you walking somewhere? First you can see how long it will take you, and how far the place is
  • To pick the more suitable route, look at the duration, and kilometers to see what’s more convenient. Usually, 1st option is faster, but might have to walk more
