Pagoda are delighted to be working with University of Kent, to offer our fully supported & blended internship programme, for summer 2022!
Students taking part will have the option of completing an 8-week internship with a host company based in Spain or Portugal, across a variety of sectors, and full support from the Pagoda team for these funded programmes.
Your programme will be split into half working remotely and the other in-country, where you’re provided accommodation, on-site support and an amazing European internship experience!

FUNDING
University of Kent have secured government funding to cover the cost of their students completing this Pagoda summer internship programme.
There are several places available for those who are currently enrolled at the institution, with further funding available to help cover the cost of flights, visa and insurance for eligible students.
Before the programme, your university will be able to confirm the exact amount of funding you’re eligible for and if there’s the additional funding to cover the flights etc. For more information from the University, please contact goabroad@kent.ac.uk.

Simply complete our online application form below to begin the process. Once you’ve applied, Pagoda will double check you’re eligible for the programme and provide more details on the next steps by email.
If you’re accepted for the programme, confirmation of this will be provided in April 2022.

The process of securing an internship will begin in spring 2022, where you will be able to review the full position and company outline for the huge number of opportunities. You select which to apply for, interview direct with the companies and accept an offer of an internship from whichever you’re happy to complete!

ACCOMMODATION
FURNISHED APARTMENT ACCOMMODATION
The on-site Pagoda team in each destination sources and manages apartment accommodation for participants, in line with our accommodation quality policy.
You will always be provided your own private bedroom and any shared facilities will always be with Pagoda participants only. Female-only accommodation is available and provided at no additional cost, with all located on good transport links in secure area of the cities where Pagoda delivers programmes.
SUPPORT
PERSONALISED SUPPORT THROUGHOUT YOUR PAGODA EXPERIENCE
Our Student Support Outline gives a comprehensive guide to our support. 24/7 emergency support is included in every in-person programme.
Our local teams organise regular optional social, networking and travel activities for participants. This includes weekly dinners and weekend trips to fit around participants’ schedules. Our local knowledge helps students discover hidden gems and visit sites on a student budget.

Pagoda Projects have developed a bespoke app which is available in the App Store and Play Store.
The app’s functionality is built for communities and allows users to engage, share and communicate with each other whilst maintaining a high level of privacy.

Known for being one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, Madrid is the heart of the country. In the city you can find a range of cultural and historical treasures such as the Royal Palace. Also known for its renaissance and contemporary art museums, sunny blue skies and unique neighbourhoods. There is an endless amount of things to do in Madrid.
LISBON
Lisbon is the stunning capital of Portugal. Blending traditional heritage with modernism, Lisbon holds a rich and varied history with a buzzing nightlife. As a safe and friendly city, it’s easy to explore with so much to see. Famed for its rattling tram lines and oozing colourful architecture. Visiting Lisbon is a win all round.
