PMSA Programme in Zhuhai, Chengdu or Taipei

PMSA-FUNDED PROGRAMME IN ZHUHAI, CHENGDU OR TAIPEI

If you’re a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident studying at The University of Auckland, University of Otago or The University of Waikato, you have the opportunity to be selected for a 9 week Chinese language and internship experience in either Zhuhai, Chengdu or Taipei. Students selected by their university will receive an Education New Zealand’s Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia (PMSA).

To apply, you will need to complete the online application form, meet the PMSA criteria and be available for the full duration of the programme, (22nd November 2019 until 26th Jan 2020).

Application Deadline: 25th July 2019

PROGRAMME DETAILS

As part of the programme students will take part in a one-week onboarding programme including a course in basic Mandarin Chinese, company visits and cultural activities. During this time, those in Zhuhai will live with a local Chinese family as part of InternChina’s homestay programme. This will give these students a chance to practice new language skills and experience local culture first-hand before moving into a private room in a shared apartment with other interns. Chengdu and Taipei participants will be in a private room in a shared apartment for the full duration. Following the onboarding week, you’ll complete an eight-week full-time internship at a company related to your course of study. We will fully support you in finding which of our host companies best suit your interests and development goals, prior to your arrival.
